Who Am I?

I am Elias and I am a junior in Middle School. I was born with Hydronephrosis due to UVJ obstruction causing damage to my kidneys. I have had many surgeries and treatments throughout my life to avoid my kidneys getting worse. However, the damage was done and now my kidneys cannot handle my growing body. I am looking for a hero to save my life.

My Interests:

I like to ride bikes with my friends. I like to go swimming in the summer. I like to play video games (Fortnite & Roblox) with my younger brother.

My Diagnosis:

I am currently at stage 4 kidney failure. My current GFR is 19. Every month, my labs seem to be getting worse. I would like to avoid dialysis since I am so young and hopefully find a match.

How A Kidney Transplant Will Affect My Life:

Having a kidney transplant will allow me to have a second chance at life. A life full of energy and joy, and most importantly it will allow me not to feel like a prisoner in my own body. I will be able to enjoy a better quality of life which will permit me to feel "normal" again.
