Who Am I?

I am 39 years old and share my life with my wife and our 10 dogs. I built my career as a heavy-duty diesel mechanic, but ESRD caused by Alport Syndrome has forced me to step away from the work I love while I focus on my health and dialysis treatment.

My Interests:

Outside is where I am the happiest. My passions are drag racing, riding dirt bikes, go-karts and 4-wheelers. I also love being on the water.

My Diagnosis:

I have End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) caused by a genetic disorder called X-Linked Alport Syndrome.

How A Kidney Transplant Will Affect My Life:

A kidney transplant wouldn't just improve my health - it would give me my life back. With a transplant, I could have more freedom, more strength and more time to actually live instead of just getting by. It would mean being able to get back to doing all the things that I love to do. A transplant would give me the opportunity to return to work, rebuild my independence and continue pursuing my private pilot license and career goals.
